Found a fab chevron 1930s 1940s dress.
The zipper and seams are stamped with name Charlene Majors.
I thought at first it was a zipper company till I saw the name on the seams as well.
Any help greatly appreciated.

I posted as Sharlene but now believe it is Charlene.

Reminds me of Bonnie of Bonnie and Clyde.

Was it normal to stamp home dresses like this? I have never seen it before.
They did a pretty good job of matching the lines also.

I'm seeing 40s. A long back zip would be unusual in the 30s - they tended to fasten at the side, and didn't always have zips at all. I think the V waist is more of a 40s features too. Someone else may know better though.

Maybe even war or post-war with the patriotic colours.

Yes, I was confused as the chevron seemed to be popular in 1930s but the colors reminded me of war time patriotic. Thank you for all your help. Sandy
