I put mine up early this year (for me). Not like Jenn who tells me she is just getting around to it today. :D

Anyway, could not stand to dig out my old stuff so I now have a tree with brown and copper ornaments and a totally off-beat topper with feathers! The tree skirt is 3 yards of lace I found at the thrift for $1!

Also my mantel is all glass and gold and silver and all from the thrift store!

That's it...that's all I am doing except I put a wreath on the door.:candycane:

Pretty! We aren't gettin our tree until Friday when both Kayla and Chelsea will be here. But Brooke and I have already decked out the outside decor. I will get some pictures tonight and post them.

I've got too much going on this year to take on my full-size tree, but this is a pic of it from last year. (I'm settling for a little aluminum tabletopper this year.) It's an 8-foot aluminum tree I bought on eBay from its original owner. Took a day and a half to assemble and decorate it:

This is my overpopulated Nativity scene, taking up the entire mantle:

In addition to numerous duplications of the usual cast of characters, including seven baby Jesuses in varying sizes, there's a deep sea diver (from an old aquarium set), a fez-wearing Shriner wearing a suit and a sax-blowing jazz musician.

If I were hosting my big holiday open house this year, you'd all be invited!

Thought I would throw mine in there! :-) Here is my tree.. not the beast but under $40 bucks. $20 for prelit tress at wally world (Wal Mart) $12 in ornaments (from dollar eneral) 2 boxes candy canes $1 tree skirt and 1 dollar tree strinf of blinking lights. Now of cousrse there are ornaments that were given to us....

So not a great tree but nice on a budget, and better yet my hubby is hope this christmas. he is in the Navy and he missed our daughters first christmas due to deployment... but it was still fun without him lol!

Blessings everyone and seasons greetings!

And I know its not a tree but I love to show my little girl off :-) Grandma sent her Christmas present already and we leave in a week to go see them and it was too big to take lol.... so we put it up yesterday... needless to say both Liberty and my husband enjoyed their little play diner!

Here are a couple shots of mine, finished yesterday. This is the first year that I've had an old fashioned feather tree. I bought it so that I could display the antique ornaments that my Mom has given me but I ordered too small a tree. I have a full sized six foot tree coming but I won't have it in time for Christmas, but next year... :santaornament:

With three cats around the house, Christmas trees have been off limits for many years. I found this cute little tree at the store the other day and figured it would work. I had a lot of fun going through the ornaments. Most of them are vintage, either I made them as a kid or my parents gave them too me from their collection. My fave though is the cute little angel lights. I have no idea where they came from or how they got into my possession but they work! and there are just enough to fit on a 2 foot tall tree...

I have to say they are all wonerful so far....

you know I really want the vintage bubblr lights... they were banned becuase of fires... but they are sooo neat... the are actually filled with water (or oil) and they bubbles in them but the light shines through th water.... I have never seen any other than my neighbors... she was 40 something and she said they were in her family when she was a little girl....

Anywho... I love all the trees and I wont be on much like the rest for the Holidays so I wanted to go ahead and wish every one a Merry CHRISTmas!!!! (yeah CHRISTmas.... better say it while its still legal lol)

And Happy New year too! But honestly i think we got them backwards.... I think we shuld have new year first so we can party hard... then have christmas and make ammends lol :-)
