Hello, I was hoping to receive some help dating these beautiful still in the box silk and bemberg pajamas by Manhattan. They have lovely buttons that look to be mother of pearl. And a amazing Hawaiian type print on the fabric with palm trees and girls in one piece swim suits.
I believe they may be 1940s but my research has hit a snag. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Those are GORGEOUS!

I believe they're late 40s. I found a 1948 ad for "Silk and Bemberg Pajamas by Manhattan", in "brocades and solids with colored trims". Prices were $12.50 and $15.00, and they came with the "Manlastic drawstring that stretches for that extra comfort".

:)
Thank you for your help :). Now I have to try and figure a value for them....

They are gorgeous - I have nothing to add except to say that I agree with late '40s, that the fabric looks like a jacquard weave (they've called it a brocade but it's lighter I think) and that "bemberg" is a type of rayon.
