Size B? Suit or Set?

I have a Harry Epstein 1960s top and skirt set. The size states size B.
I have never seen this. Can someone please decode this for me. Any help appreciated.

Sandy, I always just use measurements for the most accurate size explanation ~ and even though i may state "this is labeled a vintage size 12" i always include measurements, no matter what.

I add measurements but have never heard of size B as in Ball. What is a size B?

Perhaps it's an 'in-house' system, similar to what "Chico's" does nowadays, with a 1, 2, 3, etc., which has no meaning outside the label/shop.

I've had items that used a "B" in addition to a standard dress size number, for example, 16B. They've tended to be plus-sized.

I have a 60s wool suit with the only sizing a B also.
I assumed it was to match the pieces.
