Oh wow! Here's one for the books!
I have a dress in my shop that is exactly like a reproduction (edited out by Admin) dress. I mean EXACTLY. However, my dress has pinked seams, a union tag label from from 1955-1963, and a metal zipper. It also has very small measurements (32" bust x 23" waist) and I know most reproduction vintage lines accommodate for modern day sizing.
I've never seen a dress from this repro store (sentence edited by Admin) in person so I don't know if they have all these same details too. If so, I definitely want to update my shop listing for this dress and note it's a reproduction! My vintage dress does not have a maker tag. Just the Union tag.
It's just so bizarre that it's exactly the same dress! I first found out about this coincidence after reading a vintage blog: DELETED LINK BY ADMIN
The first photo is the dress in my shop. Last photo with all white background is from the company doing repros (sentence edited by Admin).
Can anyone shed some light on this? I'm so baffled!
