As I promised - some more pics from my holiday! :D

Early Saturday morning on the metro, after our first flea-market visit. We got up at 5.30 a.m., even though I had arrived only by 11.30 p.m. the night before!

Strandbar (beach bar) Herrmann in Vienna. The weather in Vienna was so warm and lovely (I can't believe this wasn't even four weeks ago!), that we went to this fun bar on more than one evening. It's right in downtown Vienna. Love the whole concept!

My best friend, who is viennese, and adores vintage as much as I do.

Bullingerhof, here in Zurich. A huge courtyard, in which a small fleamarket is being held each month.

Early Saturday morning, two weeks ago. This is the local farmer's market (well, the "farmers" come from a bit further away...), just five minutes from where I live.

I was on the way to a lovely fleamarket in the historic town of Mellingen, though. This market is being held only twice a year - too bad! It's in the little street in the historic town center.

At the downtown Caritas shop, the shop window-theme was hippie-style... and they even had a Pucci skirt :jawdrop: !

(No, I didn't buy it - it's at least a size too big, and I haven't go that much money left...).

I'm so envious! It looks gorgeous. Austria is on the top of my list of places I'm dying to visit one day! That is where "my people" come from, after all! :sunshine:

Well, I didn't buy any vintage clothing at that flea market, but a pair of 80's boots, that I already showed in another thread. And I bought all sorts of other things (prices were very good!) - the missing tea-pot to my table ware, six dolls for my collection, a vintage Barbie Sew-Free Fashion (for those in the know - an unopened box!) and a book (one that has just come out - at a fraction of the price in the shop).
It's mostly private sellers there so you can find all sorts of things. There wasn't much vintage fashion - most of the clothing was newer. But it was definitely worth the trip! Next time I'll take my mom, I know she'll love it. And it's such a change to the "big city" flea-market here in Zurich, where it's mostly professional dealers, lots of secondhand designer wear and everything is a lot more expensive. Here in the city I paid for one soup plate from a professional dealer as I paid for the tea-pot from a private seller in Mellingen (all from the same table ware...). I wouldn't want to know what that pot would have cost at one of the two sellers of English table ware that I know *shudder*. I inherited the table wear from my grandma, and from completing what was missing I went to collecting - there are endless different pieces and I keep adding what I don't have :saint: .

PS: Jonathan - they sell lovely cheese here at our local farmer's market ;) .
