Someone Should Stop Me

OK - Confession time. Here is a photo of the bed behind me as I sit here typing. I have no idea what treasures are in the middle of the heap. The closet is also full of clothing and I have some hanging in the barn and some hanging on the front porch. I am a sick puppy. I may not have time to list from April through October, but I do manage to shop.

Thanks for revealing you've got a treasure heap, Amanda--it makes me feel less embarassed about all the goodies I've got ferreted away in every nook and cranny of the house (not to mention the storage unit)...

The uninitiated may not grasp that while the lust to hunt/shop/acquire never quits, the energy to prep/photograph/list sure does! How nice to be in an exclusive club that "gets" it... ;)

Ummm... wanna see my table here in the living room? :saint:

This is the bounty from my holidays - dolls and masses of outfit parts. All waiting to be styled, mended and indentified etc. Plus some vintage clothes in need of mending and a doll outfit project that still isn't finished. Plus my sewing stuff and craft accessories... oh dear! :insane:

We are all sick puppies, aren't we? Karin - at least I can see some of your table - and my eye goes towards that nice purse. Wouldn't we all love looking at each other's finds? Amy - TWO storage spaces filled !!? Julie - that blue thing with the stars is actually the comforter! I did get a mess of bark cloth pillow cases the other day - and a few furs, etc. One of these days I'll post some more photos.

Just as a reminder - (some of you have seen this) - to show you that I really really really did have a lot at one point - here are photos of my greenhouse and the "everything is free" event I did last February.

I got rid of almost everything - so much easier than taking it to the thrift - and the folks were very appreciative.

Just as guilty here!! We've been remodeling our new/old building since May, and I fear my website has had nothing but maintenance since then. I did manage to get up at the crack of pre-dawn and hit G-sales, and make a few estate buys, etc. I've even managed to wash most for storage, no tagging or inventory, just a note on the top of how much I paid for the box full total.

I even managed to get a gown to the dry cleaner...but it hangs behind me in the bag still, and I got it in August (seriously, who ends a prom dress auction on ebay on a Friday night in August? Had to buy it!!)

You are not alone! After all, we have to buy when we find, since good stock doesn't come around every day. That's what I tell hubby, at least.

I'm with you sister!
My house had so much stuff with every nook and cranny covered that I was driving my neat nik honey bananas.
I hauled all of my stuff to the basement of our business and have it semi organized, well sort of.
I am bringing new bags of finds down there almost daily because I tooo find plenty of time to shop and hardly any time to list on etsy. I really want to get all of my stuff listed for the christmas season.
It's Hopeless but I am finding some great stuff :)

I thought I was the only one..... Not only do I have piles of "inventory" but I get overwhelmed by the piles....

Ugh. I need an intervention.

Oprah - Where are you when I need you? Come clean my house!

So glad you shared that photo with us.

I have a small bedroom room filled with clothing spilling into the hallway, never mind the basement, dining room table and floor area around it and 2 storage spaces pretty full + a new one we recently rented to fill up from home. Never have enough time to get stuff over there!

Amanda - yes, that is one fabulous purse. Only, the handle is broken on one side - the leather ripped almost through. I am going to try and repair it, as I really love this little purse. I bought it on my holiday in Vienna too.

Well, you can still see the table because it's only doll clothes, but there are loads, and though of some I know where they "belong", but with many pieces, I'll be digging through books and folders for hours, trying to find out which outfit they belong to.

That greenhouse looks awesome - I wish I could have been there!

Joules, your kitchen table looks very interesting. My kitchen usually is pretty chaotic too. I have table ware without end - the stuff I inherited from grandma is collectible and I keep finding pieces at flea-markets without much trouble. And any piece I don't have yet is a piece I want... and it seems, there's no piece of table-ware that Johnson Brothers didn't make *sigh*. My cupboards are full!

Here is my stash, as I stated earlier.I had all if this stuff at my house in the spare bedroom. It drove my hubby nuts:o
So, I moved it all to the basement of my business.
This is a double rack of vintage finds

The shoe and boot department

Party dresses and coats

The photo area

Another rack of treasures

Accessories!

Of course this does not include my boxes and drawers full of jewels.

So I can identify, I can't seem to find the time to get this stuff on etsy but I find plenty of time to shop for more.
I'm obsessed.
