Sorta OT: Do they wear summer clothes in Vegas in September?

Linn's post about not wearing white after Labor Day reminds me.... I'm planning my wardrobe to take to Vegas for Sept. 17 thru 20. I know it is still hot there then, but although I was there in the fall many, many decades ago, I can't recall what people wear there in the fall! I have white slacks I'm NOT taking due to the "white" rule, but what about cotton dresses, sleeveless blouses, and lightweight capris? I'm not taking shorts (but takin' my bathing suit for sure!). But I sure don't want to be wearing jeans or even full-length khakis during the day. It gets chilly at night, but do folks still wear summer clothing during the day?

It'll likely still be pretty hot - so people are unlikely to be wearing very much that says "Fall" to you. Of course, if you're staying INSIDE the casinos most of the time, all bets are off because they are usually kept at a pretty chilly temp! Probably 68-72 F degrees.
A safe bet is capris & a lightweight shirt, but bring along a light sweater for when inside the casinos :)

It will probably be quite warm in the day still. I would agree to dress like summer, but carry a sweater.

I found the casinos not as cold as that had been in the past the last time that I went, and I attributed that to slight conservation due to the economy.

I was there in February. People wear EVERYTHING from extreme casual to very dressy. I stayed at Planet Hollywood and it was very diverse.

It was chilly on Freemont Street but other than that I didn't need my sweater.

Have a great time!

I was there last year - just in the last week of September. It was hot outside (even at night it was still warm), but inside the hotels it was... ummm... well-airconditioned. Not extreme, but if you feel the chill easily, take a cardigan or a light sweater. And people wear anything anyway, as Vicki says.
