I have been working on this, and re-worked it, over a few years, adding accessories, furniture etc., changing dolls, changing their outfits... I don't just put this up for Christmas, and so it keeps evolving. It started with those darling doll house tree ornaments :christmastree:, and then I couldn't stop  .

It has everything that my dolls to me are all about - a colorful mix of dolls and clothes - both Mattel and non-Mattel, vintage and new (can you spot the vintage 60s fashions?), same goes for the accessories and the furniture. Some of the miniatures are doll house accessories, some have been made by myself and some are not at all what they seem to be actually. There's some "real life" fridge-magnets and a pencil sharpener disguising as perfect little miniatures :duh:. And some of the dolls have had their faces partially repainted or their hair restyled by my humble self. There's so much one can do with them :duh: !

Karin-

Your dolls and their surroundings are wonderful! It's obvious that "playing" with them brings you much joy and satisfies your creativity. What a wonderful collection and hobby.

Man...that looks like one fun party. I love the mini wine bottles in the kitchen...I will have a glass or two please!! Oops...did Barbie spill some milk after having one too many glasses???

Thanks you all! Yup, I still am a big kid... My next display project is the "bridal salon" - just an excuse to display lots of fab wedding dresses.

Yes, I've got some men too in this collection, only they're rather rare, as I'm not a huge fan of most Ken dolls - he often just looked terrible. And then, celebrity dolls or action figures often look so much better than Ken, so I have a few of these. Let's see... I've got Sean Connery as James Bond, Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Clark Gable as Rhett Butler... I actually envy my girls! :duh:

And the spilt milk was spotted too! That is one of the funniest accessories I have, a milk carton with plastic "spilt milk" around it. It actually comes from a super market playset that included mom, a baby and a toddler (who's holding a cookie and has a cookie-smeared face), a shopping trolley filled with lots of miniature "products". The whole thing looked so funny that at first I couldn't get myself to open the box.

Amber, it's the Sideshow Toys action figure of him in his black smoking, from Dr. No. But I think it was Sideshow too who did him in the wetsuit. Anyway, he's so handsome, he makes all the ladies swoon :hysterical:. At least he's always got one in his arm...

Marty - :jawdrop: - now you've made me curious :hysterical:. The workmanship on Barbie's vintage clothes never ceases to amaze me. And some of those outfits are so classically timeless...
