Oh those hats are so fun! I would wear one to our annual Theatre Wardrobe and Design Christmas party on sunday if I could!-mmmm........ maybe I should whip one up before then?

hey - I already missed the ugly xmas jumper day at work!
I'm thinking a cone of sheet plastic - wrap the hair round it and glue gun - all those 'spare' xmas decorations (we have enough to do 3 trees at least!) not sure how it would stay on though - I can't see any elastic straps - either those ladies are being scalped with pins holding them on, or it's one heck of a balancing act!
*sigh* I just don't know where I'd wear it... there's still carol singing on the 22nd?!

Melanie, the lady on the right looks like it was done in that kind of way, there seems to be hair wrapped around some cone-shaped thing. Most of all I guess the material involved would have to be as light as possible...
Well, it would certainly be a sight to see at carol singing! Ugly Xmas jumper day sounds great - I have been half thinking if I should get one just for the fun of it, to wear either at home or at work on the 24th (still have to work in the morning on that day). We've had Halloween at work though - with our whole department dressing up, mostly as witches or pirates (and one guy as a banana - he stole the show!). We are in a big all-glass building, and at lunch, when looking down to our eating area from one of our meetingrooms, one could just see a bunch of witches' hats from above. I had a meeting there with a hotel-rep, and she was totally perplexed.

For the carol singing about 20 of us go round all the tiny pubs/men's clubs in this one village - once we're in, nobody can get out! we traditionally wear silly accessories anyway
I actually still have a xmas concert on Wednesday - but I normally wear flats to make myself smaller...not taller
I think the dress colour scheme is going to be Christmas colours...

We get one 'personal' day a year and I always use it to book off the closest day to Christmas I would work - I do not want to be in there when all hell breaks loose!!!
