Hi
Anyone know what kind of fur this is? Person who sold this coat to me thought it was stencilled rabbit, but wasn't positive. Fur is short and very, very soft. Is there such a thing as sheared rabbit? All the markings are shades of brown.

Looks like ocelot to me. Do the markings go all the way down to the skin or are they just on top? If they're just on top, its been dyed to look like a big cat. Great coat! I'm jealous!

The markings do go all the way down to the skin. I didn't realize that was how you could tell if it was stencilled or not. Ok, so I guess it's not dyed rabbit after all! Thanks for that tip.

It does have the look of ocelot, but all the brown markings were throwing me off. I always thought ocelot would have black spots as well.

If you're planning on keeping it for yourself, lucky you! If you're planning to sell it, you can't do it on E-Bay. Ocelot is on the endangered species list.

FAB coat, yes looks like ocelot..the markings are too detailed to be painted beaver lamb..
