    Standing Ovation for Opera Coats

Make a splendid entrance in vintage outerwear for a harmonious evening event. Opera coats are back for 2024, now often worn for striking daytime entrances as well. Look for the vintage models in luxe fabrics such as satin and velvet, many with striking details such as big collars, sweeping width, beautiful linings, sparkling buttons and eye-catching sleeves. When the curtain comes up, you will be a diva in a vintage opera coat!

from our sold archives, this 1960s black velvet coat with large collar and white satin lining; not full length, but suitable for fancy nights out.

@Ranch Queen Vintage I had one of those Marguerite Rubel velveteen coats many years ago, but in a vibrant blue! I have seen them in other jewel tones as well.

Yes! I've seen them in number of colors. The cross-over collar closure is one of my favorites!

What a gorgeous display of evening coats! Here in Oregon, they would be accessorized with Birkenstocks.

Speaking of sleeves, I love the barrel sleeves used on this 40s black satin evening jacket.
