Star Brand snap inside beaded clutch

I’m wondering if anyone can help identify this beaded clutch as vintage or not. If so? what era, so I can try to narrow down which family member it may be.

The snap inside says “star brand”, But I’m not sure if that’s the brand of purse or the brand of the snap . There was a small white satin tag inside the inside pouch but it has been snipped. I was always under the impression that it was a vintage family piece. But I’m trying to confirm.

Any help you can give is greatly appreciated. My daughter wants to use it for prom and I’d love to be able to tell her which family member it belonged to.

IMHO, STAR is the brand of snap, not the the brand of purse.
A google search found a few other clutch purses with the same snap, purported to be 1980s.

I had google searched as well and found one that said 1940’s, one 1960’s and several others that just said “vintage”. Such a wide range.

I believe that this is 1960s. Pre magnetic snap and with the little pocket for the compact or mirror.
