Sterling silver brooch and earrings - Mexican?

These came in an estate donation a few years back. I always assumed that firstly, they were worn together, although they don't actually match, and that they are also probably Mexican, but there is no mark on the reverse... and... 1950s?

The brooch reminds me of Norseland style jewelry, with some of it manufactured in Mexico. What does the back of the brooch look like?

The brooch also looks like Danecraft which despite the name was located in Rhode Island. I would date the pieces C. 1940s. The earrings may not be by the same maker.

Jonathan, please take photos of the backs of earrings and brooches, etc. Frequently the backs - including screw back earrings have as many or more clues to dating than the fronts! (Even with no marks.)

Just a comment. A year or so s ago I looked into whether or not there were any Jensen pieces made that were not signed. I had a sterling piece that was an exact Jensen but no signature. An acknowledged authority told me the answer is "no" and that my piece was a knock off. I mean it was exactly the same in every way as the Jensen piece. When I listed it on Ebay as "Jensen like", the auction was pulled by Ebay. Haarumph! I think the guy complained to Ebay when he saw it for sale.

In the process of photographing this I found a partially obscured mark I thought was just a scratch -- I could make out 'Viking' and 'Sterl...', so it turns out to be from Viking Craft, a line created by the Albert Horwig Company in New York. Albert Horwig was born in South Carolina in 1896. The Viking Craft mark was registered in November 1938. I haven't found an end date for the company but he died in 1980. I assume these brooches are probably 1940s/50s?
