It's one thing for a diet technique like that to have been around in the days when there were, literally, snake oil salesmen. But now?

I know our societal obsession with weight loss leads to some pretty risky behavior, but that's just plain stoopid...

I just wonder how they got the buggers out once they were in there, way back in the Victorian times. It takes surgery now, right?
