Strange purse my friend owns

Hello all! I've only just registered but my friend has this purse and we can't figure out it would be called. Here are some pictures. There is no label which doesn't help any. Pictures below, any help would be appreciated! We're thinking it was likely used for travel, but we can't find anything similar..

Hi Rose and welcome to the forums: yes, it looks like a travelling vanity set. The elastic portions would constrain bottles of shampoo etc. Yours looks big enough that it might be an overnight case.
