Strange Q\'s about ladies pinstripe blazer.
I feel almost embarrassed asking this. I feel sooooo dumb
:duh: = the "duh" smiley
Did i mention that i feel stupid?
This (in my opinion) is a very cute blazer. I am going to auction most of the clothes i have to make lotsa room. Lilac/lavendar pinstripes. Has original tags. actually something i would wear if it fit. I thought...this might be the later revival of all this from the 90s that was happening at...maybe the limited and like stores....as I had not seen a 70s blazer in that type of color scheme/fabric long time. But maybe i don't get out much lol and then the tag, union label said, no definitely older. Oddly, no label on the inside as far as maker just the tags.
Its a size 7 so it would be more of a junior or petite sizing, and the other thing pushing it towards the 70s are the scale because if it were a modern 7/8 it would be a bit bigger.
Then, as i was pulling it out again today,..well...read below...

<img src="http://image.inkfrog.com/pix/patentleathershoes/lilacjacket2.jpg" width=360 height=608>
I found two of these tags tacked on the inside...thought on the bottom it said 7/2/89 ..so does that mean anything..random numbers? might have ended up in a consignment shop and that is the stock number? tags from a dry cleaner...probably not because it still had the original tags on it so not drycleaned. I am leaning away from this being from original manufacture as in July, this would be out of season. you could wear it then i suppose but probably would be in stores late winter/early spring for spring into early summer wear. but it case doubt in my mind.
Is it really possible than for something as late as 89 to have a union label? Or am i overthinking too much and the original information i was given on this one really correct?
