Strapless Adele Simpson prom dress - 50\'s or 60\'s?

Hi there!

I loveeeeeeeeeeeee this dress! Anyhoo, can anyone date it for me? Also, what is it made of? I can't quite put my finger on it.

Gosh, I cannot tell. What does the material feel like?

I have a black Adele Simpson with that same label. I am thinking late 50s, early 60s, but wait for someone else to come along to confirm. I still need to ask about mine, too.;)
 
That is really unique! I can't tell the fabric, other than the ivory seems to be a chiffon. Would the black be a silk faille?

I'm with Linda on the date.
