String Tie Mack Truck Question

A friend brought this bolo tie piece over asking if I had any ideas about it. It is dated 1/23/1977 on the back and says #5. The jeweler who made it signed it MT. It appears to be sterling silver, but is not marked. It's huge! A little over three inches tall and a little under three inches across.

Ooh. I didn’t notice until I enlarged the photo, but the collar does say Mack!

Wow, that's a great piece!
It does look like silver.

I would think it would also have great cross over appeal for bulldog owners,
even with the Mack name on the collar (and I'll bet there are a lot named Mack).

I'm always using items in other ways, and if I knew someone with a bulldog,
I would also be taking a picture of that hanging from their collar. lol
