Hi Everyone,
I sold a pair of gold Stuart Weitzman shoes with lucite heels and 2 days after receiving them, the buyer claims that the heel snapped off in her hand when she took them out of the box. Has anyone else had this experience? I find this difficult to believe that she waited 2 days before opening her package and am I responsible for the condition of a vintage item that in no way was misrepresented in photographs and description?
How do you protect yourself from people buying vintage and making a claim when the item does not hold up as a new items would? Do you have a disclaimer in your selling description? I don't recall seeing one in advertisements but then I haven't looked for one.
The buyer waited 2 days to email about the breaking and I am prone to believe that they were probably worn and broke.
Any advice would be welcome!
Best wishes,
Kitsilano Kitty
