Stumped by fabric??

Ok, brain is not working like it should today. I can't for the life of me come up with a name for the fabric on this three piece play set. It's a border print, not cotton though it may have a percentage, more body than rayon but feel more like a man made fiber. It has a slight slub to it that you can see in the print of the top in the close up. So what the heck is it?

TIA from the addle brained!

Is broadcloth a "fabric" or a "weave" ? I'm lousy with fabric IDs~ I have used fabric.net for help - mostly word descriptions, but I like photos to be sure~

I'm not good with fabric.. but.. THAT is sooooo me! When ya gonna list it :drooling22:

warning: I get my tax refund Friday... I'll be on the prowl!

Hi Beth,

It goes up tomorrow night with the rest of the wedding gowns and veils that I have photoed. It's a cutie and will have no reserve. You got a great buy the last time, hope you'll have another go!

Without "feeling" and seeing it up close & personal, I'd agree that the fiber content is probably polyester/cotton blend. I can't see the weave very well on my screen, but from what I can see, it looks like duck, poplin, or lightweight sailcloth. Broadcloth would usually be a tighter, more closely woven fabric.

Probably not much help here, but can be so hard to identify a fabric if you can't feel it...

Hi Mary,

You know, as I was giving you guys my description I kept thinking it's kind of like a table cloth and feels like some I've seen that are not 100% cotton. So, maybe that's it. I don't know if Lizzie has seen it or not.
