WOW! Fascinating! I admire those fellows who discovered the boat. What fabulous stuff. I found it interesting to see what survived being underwater and in mud for 150 years, and what did not. So many textiles and clothing survived, hurrah!
I would love to see all the mens hats. They are so well preserved they look like you could certainly still wear them. I found it interesting that 90% of the hats were wool. Perhaps most were workman's caps, etc. If not, then this seems a bit odd and certainly very interesting to me. Raising my eyebrows on this quote:
"Fewer than 10% of the hats found on the Arabia are beaver (most are wool felt), but the quality of this naturally waterproof material is unsurpassed."
