Surprised?

I have such a warped sense of time that the 80s seem far too recent (and were much too hideous) to make a comeback "so soon." And the idea that anything 90s, anything at all, is vintage (or even "retro") is ridiculous to me.

As for trends, I was glad to see the return of higher waists on shorts (not that I wear shorts), jeans, etc. The super-low-waisted styles are flattering on no one but very tall, very slim, short-waisted teenagers.

While not terribly recent, I was very surprised to see the return of teased up hair styles. I had thought that would never ever make a comeback after it faded away in the later 1960s. The piled up high, hair spray covered tall beehive? Making a comeback? I would have bet money against that one. Although I do think it looks good on some women.

Of course, as hat lover, maybe I still have not forgiven the beehive hairstyle for it's part in killing off the wearing of hats, way back in the late 1950s!
