Suzy Perett Cocktail Dress; please help me identify this type lace/fabric

This Suzy Perett cocktail dress is lace over what I believe is taffeta. Any help with the lace will be much appreciated. Thanks so much!!

Hmmm... I'd call this guipure lace :scratchchin:. Not a 100% sure, but I think it looks like this.

Yes, I would agree with guipure lace. Looks like it has sustained a bit of fade, which is pretty common for black laces of this era, but it is a stunning dress just the same!! LOVE the waist design!!
