What is the difference between the two? Was is a cheaper version? I googled it but everyone is talking only about suzy perette new york.

My guess would be that Suzy Perette New York was put on dresses specifically sold in New York by them whereas just Suzy Perette might have been used for dresses sold elsewhere by different stores. This is just a hunch and not backed up by research. I am curious as to what other people might think!

Although the label varied a little over the years the dresses were always made in New York. The less expensive line was called Gigi Young and was made for would have been called a "junior" size at the time.

I did. The label on the dress I have only says Suzy Perette. I also saw couple of those online. Just curious why the label variation.

It may be they just felt "New York" had a certain cachet in some markets and not in others.
