Amid a swirl of double knit polyester, I found this silvery sparkly thing!
I am going to take an alternate shot in the sun to show the glimmer better(and why can't i find stuff like this in the fall right?)
It has some issues so I need the help and guidance of sweater experts. (and no i didn't try it on, that would not be a good thing!)
Firstly, there is a seam split in the underarm of one arm. It will be no big deal to stitch it back up and I got it knowing that.
Secondly, there are a few tiny dust spots on the trim. I figured those could be easily taken care of with some quick spot cleaning.
But I didn't notice til I got home that there is a small spot on the outside of the sweater. It's brownish.
What should i spot clean it with? The spot is a bit more prominent than the picture. you can definitely see it. I re-read Lizzie's great feature on sweater's, but this is synthetic so wasn't sure (though the trim feels non synthetic but i guess i am just used to crappy modern versions and don't realize it can be that soft). I also read Hollis' workshop again and was still unsure about the sparkle-ness of it.
I have available: vinegar, some sort of clorox spray, dish soap, glycerin soap, baking soda.
Oh...and I am just assuming this is 1950s..
Chris
PS: no, I didn't try it on. I don't dare....
PPS: I really like my manni as a red head...yes this is a third wig. I think if I buy any other wigs in the future they will all be red.
