Swimwear dating - DeWeese & Jantzen

Hi, everyone. I have these suits, which I'm having difficulty placing for dates. The first is a day-glo orange two piece by DeWeese Designs. It's really soft, like nylon, has flaps on the bottom portion of the top (which isn't 'fitted'). Adjustable straps with buttons, lined in white material, and the bottoms have a lined tummy panel/gusset. There's no RN number on the tag. At first I thought late 60's with the hang, color, etc...but now I don't know could it be 80's?

Next is a polka dot halter by Jantzen. 80's or 70's on this one? I didn't see this particular tag on the label resource...this one is completely lined, has metal clips on the halter straps...

Thanks!

Agree with '60s for the first. The second looks more modern - I think it's too modest (low on the leg) for '80s so I'm going to go '70s. I wonder if it was for a pregnant wearer or someone with a tum to hide? It's quite nice from behind but that panel on the belly is suggestive.

I was thinking early 70's for the first and later 70's for the second.. and I clicked in thinking I was going to get to see your cute smiling face modeling.. but I like your manni too, is she new?

Cute suits! What does the little tag under the main DeWeese label say/look like? The blue polka dot one is 70's. We've also got some labels on our site which can be helpful for dating swimwear.

Ah, thank you all very much and especially for that ad - that's fabulous!

The tag under the DeWeese says simply

size 10/32 "sta cup" bra

The reverse of the Jantzen tag only has the care instructions.

I've been great, thank you for asking. Bijou, unfortunately (or fortunately lol) I can't model at this point since I'm about 5 1/2 mos. pregnant :) but I'll be back to doing it once lil miss gets here!

In the meantime, yep my manni is new...I traded my disco dancing manni for this one and I'm very pleased. For one, she's not as heavy as the other so it makes it easy-peasy for me to lug her around.

well i am goign to buck the system and still go with late 60s on the first one....

thought hte add is similar.... doenst mean they didnt steal the idea from earlier fashion,,, secondly the add looks more like a tennis skirt. thought yours does resemble it its nto the same. its herd to tell with the add.. but they cuts are not the same either,,.. the bust dart on the ad is much farther from the arm hole leading me to believe that the back straps are entirely different and yours just looks better all the way around!!!! :-) so Im going with the 60s on this one.

Also the blue one... do you think it would fit maternity? since you are preggers ;-) are ou selling it? I am preggers too and looking for somehting... we live in FL and the weather is ready and I need a suit as a preggery belly in a 2 piece is not beautiful lol!

thanks and if you are sellign it can you U2U me with the info?
