Synthetic soles...where do we start?

Hello there boot and shoe lovers!
I've got a pair of boots i was told were 'leather boots from 1930's'. Theve got a lovely scalloped cut up top, quite tall, subtly rounded toe, perfect solid leather....and a black synthetic sole with the classic 'Made in Canada' raised stamp.
Please let me know what you know.. and thanks!

Lovely boots, are you going to wear them? I'm no shoe expert but I'm not seeing 30's when them but 70's. During the mid 1970's, there was kind of a 30's revival in fashion for a brief period so these may have been made then.
It's not until the 50's that you start to see synthentic shoes commonly used on shoes, 30's shoes always had leather soles.
For $14.00, they are a bargain though no matter what the age :)
