Tailored Skirt Suit "Richmond Of London"

Can you please help me with age and fabric of this lovely suit. It is nicely finished on the inside with inter locked and bound seams. Half lined at back with browney gold satin. I guessed at 60s but....?

is it held together at the back in your photo? If so it may be distorting the true shape of the jacket.
Everything looks 60's to me except how fitted the waist is, if it is normally straighter and a more boxy fit I'd be confident with 1960's.
 
Is there any evidence that the hem has been shortened? It the jacket is truly fitted it reminds me of late 1950's if the skirt were longer, either striaght or flared.

All other Richmond of London garments I can find are 1960's. In terms of fabric they are usually wool or crimplene. Some state pure new wool (which I assume is from the wool mark label, so these would be post 1964) and some are marked made in England.
