Teeny Religious Icon Jeweled Box...help!!!

I can only say it sort of "feels" old, its very lightweight, maybe a plated tin? The Virgin Mary has a beveled glass piece over her, and the rhinestones are clear but the metal behind them shines through (not backed). I think the picture is applied or painted onto the back of the glass as the picture moves with the glass, it has a slight bit of give to the setting (not glued in). I've looked and looked but no markings.

I have no idea what to call it to research it, it seems a little ornate and too old to call a pill box. But I have no clue! Any help would be so SO appreciated, thanks guys!

They would have to be SUPER small, it measures 1 1/2" by 1 1/4".

Check out this completed auction on ebay: 150273204596 It isn't as fancy, but along the same lines. Measures only 1-1/8" x 1-1/2".
