I found that Junior House was started in the mid 1940s. And my suit's label is similar to on-line 1950s Junior House clothes. There's a lot about this suit that reminds me of 1950s, but I'm wondering if it's later?

From the burn test... quick burn, non self-extinguishing with very little ash, I would guess the fabric is a rayon.

Yes, I agree that it looks to be a rayon (Chinoise brocade) and from the '50s, I would say very early '50s judging by the shoulder pads in the jacket.

Thank you Nicole. I'm not familiar with the term "Chinoise brocade". Will have to look check it out.
