So, what is everyone here doing for Thanksgiving? It's great that we have The Water Cooler do discuss and share such things!

I haven't figured out what I'm doing yet, so someone else will have to pipe up!

Janine, at risk of sounding stupid, when is Thanksgiving this year? ( I am in England for those that don't know, which is my excuse for not knowing!)

I always feel like I should do an honorary meal over here!
 
Our family is very small. 5 total. So... instead of cooking, we are going to Hershey Lodge, in the famous home of the Hershey chocolate. They hare having Thanksgiving around the world, everything from traditional turkey to sushi.

In all honesty I am going for two things. The bloody mary buffet and the chocolate buffet!

Thanks giving is always the fourth Thursday in November, so this year it is the 23rd.

My oldest son is coming for his first visit home from college, so we are very excited. I will probably cook enough for about 50 people, although it will just be the five of us.

That sounds dangerous! :booze:

So, you're eating trukey made out of chocolate and wahing it down with gallons of Bloody Mary's???

Note to Harriet: This is not a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.

Neither is the chocolate turkey sushi!! :hysterical:

Son gets home from college Weds night (He turns 22 Friday)
Daughter who is closer (30 miles) will be bringing her boyfriend for dinner.

Oh and since the night before Thanksgiving is the biggest bar night of the year...they will both be at the bar:booze:

I have not grocery shopped yet and plan on working ebay today so will crash carts with the crazies tomorrow I guess. Unless I can stay awake and go really late tonight.
