Wow Ruth- you are right!! . In my festival days it was simply a matter of wearing something interesting that would survive the duration as well as the porta-loos- those days are obviously gone!!.
Mind you in the VIP tent its a wee bit more civilised isn't it ;)

I've never been to Bestival, but I understand everyone dresses up, not just the VIPs . It's a big part of the festival - they have a different theme every year.

Wow- how do they keep themselves nice for the duration- I really don't know how!! '. Mind you how anyone finds there tent at the end of the night at Glastonbury escapes me too.................. I am indeed getting old!!

Well it depends on the facilities... the last festi I went to had free hot showers! Every day! That was only a tiny one, but I think a lot of festivals have 'posh wash' facilities that you can opt in to. Bestival has tiered pricing with different camping options, some more glampy than others. You can even stay near by in a B&B! I think I'm talking myself into going... maybe next year.

Glastonbury is another story. I've been once, and I loved it (we were also blessed with wonderful weather and so no mud), but I'm not rushing to go again.
