I'd like to think that no-one does eccentric like us Brits, and to prove it, Bestival has brought out a book!

"Pioneers in the renaissance of “dressing up to get down”, Bestival has become synonymous not only with fancy dress but also with adventurous style. From its inception, Bestival’s all encompassing themes have fuelled the imagination of the thousands of festival-goers who have crossed the Solent to the Isle of Wight to enjoy one of the most creative and forward-looking events in the festival calendar. Celebrating that unique creativity from artists and Bestivalites alike,‘Bestival Presents… The Art of Dressing Up’, is a 364 page visual document of sartorial invention as high art."

Wow- how do they keep themselves nice for the duration- I really don't know how!! '. Mind you how anyone finds there tent at the end of the night at Glastonbury escapes me too.................. I am indeed getting old!!

Well it depends on the facilities... the last festi I went to had free hot showers! Every day! That was only a tiny one, but I think a lot of festivals have 'posh wash' facilities that you can opt in to. Bestival has tiered pricing with different camping options, some more glampy than others. You can even stay near by in a B&B! I think I'm talking myself into going... maybe next year.

Glastonbury is another story. I've been once, and I loved it (we were also blessed with wonderful weather and so no mud), but I'm not rushing to go again.
