The Dainty Dryer? (a dream dashed!)

Has anyone heard of this or seen this?

You put the nozzle of a hairdryer in it and dry your pantyhose and lingerie. There is a defunct 1-800 number on it, and the suggested retail is 19.95 and probably sold for less so I am guessing its 80s.

I love looking at little gadgets and beauty aids that someone invented that never took off or was the "as seen on tv" of decades past. It seems this was a little mom and pop company and this didn't turn into the empire they thought it would...or they were put out of business because you could only operate it with care.

I will probably put it on my website/shop because no one would ever think to search for this type of thing on ebay if they have never heard of it.

It does look like it would be just to thing if you were a travelling executive. It could be a pain to find a laundromat and some underthings handwash really well in a hotel bathroom sink. The box is about 9x9 so not too huge...but would you have room for it. But now people carry 20 suitcases these days!

I would have probably bought something like that. My house is covered with little things like that. Pretty neat, I think.

that's a fantastic idea (ultimate consumer here)! i too have a house full of gadgets, i'm always convinced i desperately need things until i actually get them and put them aay in a cupboard. that is a very sensible idea though!

Much better than the Buttoneer. It was for lazy people and involved inserting a plastic piece through a button to fasten it to the garment. WOuldn't want to put that in the dryer though!
