I'm trying to date a pair of sweet shoes I got today. Red reptile, open-toed and so sweet!

The arch stamp is Made for The Knights Portland, Ore Anyone know about this store? Maybe that'd help me date the shoes. They're, my feeling, late 30s-early 40s.

I might post a pic later but after my battery's charged up and thank you all!

I can't post more than one pic at a time for some reason. Sorry. I think it's because I'm a friend not a member.

They are labeled a 7 1/2 A. But they fit like a Modern 7 as I can get my modern Flintstone foot in 'em with struggle but they fit just perfectly without room.

The toe is open, that opening shaped like a 1/2 diamond. Then above that is another little diamond-shape opening.

I really appreciate the info. So why do you think late 40s? I'm curious and learning! : )

Let's try it again...trying to post another pic, as requested and the site's not letting it happen...*fingers crossed*

Thanks!

You can only post one picture to one post if you attach and upload from your computer (trade members & friends both!). But you can either make a second post and do the same, or if you first upload multiple photos to a hosting service such as photobucket or flickr, you can copy the image codes and paste into a single post to show more than one photo. So, you can do either multiple posts with one photo each, or, easier, one post with several photos.

I think these are later 40s, maybe mid, due to the overall styling--the heel, straps, etc. I could be very wrong, but I just don't get a 30's/early 40's vibe from these. But, as I said, I am most definitely not a shoe expert and am going more by feel than fact.

I've been trying to post a pic in a replying post. Guess that won't work. I'll post the other pic as a new post. I don't have a hosting service. brb!

Site's not accepting my pictures now. Maybe this time's a charm.
