The Lauren Look!
No other designer has created the idealistic American style quite like Ralph Lauren. Whether we think of Ivy League layered herringbone and tweed on a crisp Autumn day, the chunky knits and pea coats of Northeastern sailing clubs, or even the Painted Desert pallet of New Mexico’s blanket jackets, we picture a world that is the Ralph Lauren style.
Ralph Lauren’s world is always sophisticated, with young, fresh-faced models wearing layers and layers of classic separates. His style is fine-tuned and a classic trademark. The best thing about Ralph Lauren, however, is that his look is attainable by just about anyone. Have you ever paired a wool blazer with a white t-shirt and jeans? How about a man’s vest and tie with trousers? Or even a prairie skirt with an oversized fleece jacket? This month we celebrate the designer’s 84th birthday by dusting off those blazers, V-neck sweaters, and wool scarves all to pay homage to The Lauren Look!
