The Lerner Shops

I have a vintage suede jacket, but I'm unable to find anything about the label
It is a woven label with "Western Fashions by Lerner Shops"
I have photos of the garment front and back and the label. I'm wondering if it is from the late 40's to 70's
thanks for any help

Thanks for that info, I do remember shopping at Lerner Shops in Los Angeles Ca. I just did a google search this is some of the info I found
  • 1918 - The Lerner brothers, blouse manufacturers, open the first Lerner Shops store in NYC. 18 more shops opened later that year.
  • 1930 – The first West Coast Lerner Shops location opens in Los Angeles, CA.
  • 1985 - Limited Brands purchases the company.
  • 1992 - The company changes its name to Lerner New York.
  • 1995 - The New York & Company brand, one of several labels Lerner New York carries, is introduced.
  • 2002 - Lerner New York and New York & Company become an independent company when it’s purchased from Limited Brands.
  • I have trouble dating the decade though. The label looks like something from the 40's or 50's when western/cowboy fashions were a very popular fashion choice (dude ranches in the 40's, and T.V. programs of the 50's etc.)
