The Lindy Hop: Then and now

I stumbled across a home movie from 1940 of folks doing the lindy hop on a beach in Florida. It is an interesting contrast to what the dance is like now. (and its interesting to see what they are wearing also).

These dance pros are called Whitey's Lindy Hoppers; and then in the movie they call them jitterbuggers....

Loved the beach video...the great dancing guy in all white comes perilously close to doing the moonwalk...
