\'The Naked Shoe\' If you love shoes...
then I am sure you will love this book, as I do. I have four new vintage fashion books from Christmas, and Jane Julianelli's 'The Naked Shoe: The Artistry of Mabel Julianelli', is one of them.
The photographs of the shoes are stunning; many are by John Manno. Incredible. Vintage ads, pictures of shoe patterns, family photos, and Mabel's wonderful design illustrations too. This book is touching, and brought me to tears at times. In the words of Mabel, this one has "girl appeal." I highly recommend it.
