The next comeback trend will be....

Patentleathershoes

VFG Veteran
VFG Past President
....bodysuits.

Not body stockings, not cat suits. But the kind that snap under the crotch, are probably spaghetti strapped OR are ruched at the bust or have some other detail like that like cups, etc. And people will be wearing highwaisted pants in the same color. And it will probably be all in white or light pink. (really unflattering to many many figure types)

Not the turtle neck long sleeved ones that snapped to prevent your shirt from riding up, but full on 70s/early 80s idea. Maybe you might be mistaken for auditioning for "A Chorus Line"

And how do I know this?

My husband said to me while watching tv last night
"This is going to be the next thing to comeback! You have got to get on the ground floor right now." "just trust me on this one!"

He was flipping around on the tv and there was an old show with Meat Loaf singing with some gal that was wearing exactly the above described ensemble, and maybe he thought because what Meat Loaf was wearing came back in style, that the gal on tv's outfit should too.

Well, now I know who to blame when I don't listen and don't make a million dollars.

Well....usually when my husband makes a comment about vintage fashion...the opposite is true.

Like when he says "That is ugly!! Who is goind to buy that?" That is usually a sure bet that it will sell for some $$$. :hysterical:

Hee hee

"That is ugly!! Who is going to buy that?"

My husband usually says "that's ugly...some young kid is going to LOVE that." (who didn't remember the horror of it the first time around).

But I think he is of course very off the mark on this one. Okay, let's just say I am hoping. And keep the huge Olivia Newton John sweatband thing there with it.

LOL!!!!

Oh please keep them away!!!!!!!!!!

My hubby has seen all my vintage stuff and said that about every one of my items...."who would buy that????"...."oh my god, someone made that for someone to wear????"

:hysterical: We shouldn't laugh at the sweatbands, though. Look at the headbands coming back in. They are wide enough to slip down on your forehead.:hysterical:

<B><I>"I remember Danskins used to make bodysuits like that and sell matching wrap skirts to go with them."</I></B>

...yes & I had 3 of those outfits. I really thought I was Stylin'!!!

oi vey - I had teal, a sort of red violet (darkish) , and of course I had black.
I'm not sure what else I ever wore then... LOL
