Thierry Mugler suit with sloppy details

Hello friends,
I was given Thierry Mugler skirt suit to sell. I noticed the hardware on the sleeves are attached rather sloppily with thick invisible thread (like fishing line). Additionally, they are not evenly attached in respect to the seam.

I'm happy to list it with the disclosures and photos, but the application is so sloppy I wonder if I could take them off and redo it to make it neater (I know I could do a better job).

The front clasp is sewn on with black thread via tiny holes on the edges. The sleeve hardware does not have any holes.

What would you recommend? Leave it and disclose or fix it and disclose? Any votes for leaving them off altogether?

Many thanks in advance,

Trish

I see what you mean. For me, it would raise a concern that the suit might be a knock off. We can't authenticate here, but you may want to check back with your source to see what their provenance is like.

That is really odd. It looks like a good gabardine fabric, but there is no way the sleeve hardware would be anything like that. I agree with Maggie it is a little concerning regarding the authenticity.

Thanks so much for your responses. I can check with the owner regarding authenticity, however, I believe it since the quality is so good--with this exception.

I got curious and looked underneath the pieces. There is a very short metal peg with a hollow center that could either be one part of a snap or a stub of a screw or ??? It is bent, though. These must have come off somehow and been sewn back on.

I will take photos of the undersides soon. I'm sure you'll be able to shed some light on that situation.
Thanks again

The pegs were rivets. There is a small hole on the inside of each cuff where the back of the rivet once was.

Now that I've removed them...should I sew them back on?
If you were interested in buying this suit would you rather have them sewn on or left off with an explanation?
