Thinking of changing my Mall store settings...buyer opinions?

I'm thinking of doing something new with my Babylon Mall store categories and would appreciate some opinions....buyers, sellers, vintage lovers, anyone!

Right now I have the categories by subject, with items crossing over categories, such as purses in both the purses and ladies vintage categories.
Do you find you prefer to shop by era designation for clothing and accessories, or by subject (purse, skirt, dress)?

Any opinions appreciated.

I actually like your categories as they are. I prefer to shop by item instead of era so it appeals to me.

This is going to really help, as I'm the opposite from Jus. I prefer to shop by era!

I shop by item category first and then by era.

hehehe - well i wonder do collectors and wearers shop differently? i can see collectors going straight for their 'era'. but as a wearer i'm just looking for a skirt.
