THIS ARRIVeD THIS MORNING!!

bad news is there are two dark stains, like tarnish in the mid section....l hope it comes out it hasnt gone right through to other size, so it may!

good news is....and l have tried it on this evening after work...it fit very well, so it is smaller than the 48/34/46 stated..thank goodness...the 'bands' cant flip up was they are sewn into the side seam......the brooches stones were cloudy and missing...so have removed and need to find two diamante buckles/brooches the same for evening AND l thought tortoiseshell or celluloid buckles for smart day....

any thoughts on the fabric?? is was listed as slub silk...its like a shiny linen, lovely to touch, slighty abrasive l thought! but comfy to wear and the shape makes me feel great.....its so true what everyone says about feeling 'womanly'... SO the beginning of a new (vintage) wardrobe methinks, and as l lose more weight perhpas l will find more bargains...l wouldnt have gotten into this 12 weeks ago...


OH and it is a US item l think see the label!!??

the shoes arent right, but l have huge feet so l shall have to make do.....it's a start anyway!

p.s. anyone have two buckles, brooches the same..as l'm on the lookout!!???

Well gosh, Sara! That looks great on you!

I don't think I can help you with the buckles, but I'll certainly double check.

Shoes. This is a problem I always have, too. I do have a few vintage dresses that fit me (wonder of wonders!) but I'm forever passing them up because I just don't have any shoes that would suit them. Goodness knows I can't afford vintage shoes in my size -- the 9's and 10's go for premium prices.
Not to mention the fact that, with my knee issues, wearing heels can be a problem.

/rant sorry!

But YOU look fabulous! What an incentive to loose weight! I've been thinking of taking up corsetry for just that reason ;)
 
ahh yes, a corset....a la von teese!! l am temptes..and l saw a makeover prog this week..and a VER large lady, probably with a 50inch bust wore one and looked fabulous...l may be tempted too!
 
What about getting rhinestone shoe clips?

Can you find a dark brown shoe perhaps? Gray may actually work depending on the shade but am trying to visualize.
