He must have a 7 year old boy, too! (seriously, kid, aim!!)

I loved each pic. I was only 5 when this was the in thing...but you better believe I still rocked the purple plaid double knit elastic waist pants. Boo yah.

OMG... I was doing OK, just chuckling at this trip down memory lane, till I got to the guys' shirt with the built-in bib (or trap door for chest hair). Burst out laughing so hard I almost wet my pants, and laughed till I cried.

I was in my 20s in 1977, and God, we really did wear that stuff--though I would like to think my own taste wasn't quite as God-awful gaudy (I don't think it was--which is why I made most of my clothing from about 1974 until almost 1980).

Thanks for posting--I gotta go e-mail my hubby the link....

I think that double knit Brady Bunch stuff drove a lot of people to vintage!

I just looked at part 3 and I'm still wiping tears of laughter. My Aunt (RIP) had the excercise belt and believe me you did NOT want to watch her use it! I actually had the hooded terry outfit in the 2nd part. Wood Elf! Hmmph! I was hot!! :hysterical:
