Ok, y'all are going to think i'm completely nuts but this is what happened to be the other day when I was in the midst of taking photos of all the new stock for this weekend's C&C update.
I recently acquired a group of Regency bodices that had been unpicked from their skirts and early Regency bust supports and was studying them as I was going along photographing them.
I went through a couple and then got to this c. 1805- 1810 one...

As I was holding it, it occured to me that there was something about the fabric that I REALLY liked (it's just plain, tightly woven crisp cotton). I couldn't stop feeling this fabric as it was making me happy (LOL!) and then put the sleeves against my arms to see where they would end on my arms and then got a bright, joyful tingly feeling of happiness. There is something about this bodice that made me happy in the soul. Even now thinking about the bodice, I'm getting that feeling and that feeling lasted until I finished photographing it and put it away.
OK, I know I sound like a complete freak but I photographed the rest of the bodices and bust supports right after and none of them made me feel this way. That bodice is truly a happy bodice.
Do any of you ever come across any vintage that makes you happy in the soul?
