I picked it up as it looked really, really old. Now that it is home, I don't know what to make of it. It has blue thread and white thread-I thought for a second it was homemade, but it has a tag with a size on it. That's it, there is but one single tage, NAMMEE M. The buttons look ancient, and the thread used to thread them is looking very weathered as well, but the stitching looks shoddy and so does the pleating. Any thoughts on this short sleeve blouse?

Hmmm, yes this is a bit of strange one. I think the white thread was the original one and the blue one might be home repair where the other one might have torn, or maybe it was even altered using that thread? It's the most plausible answer that I can see from the pictures. As to the age - hard one. It dosen't look older than 70s to me. No care labels at all? Maybe it was made in/for a country were such things weren't a requirement then - the name looks asian to me, but I might be wrong.

I would have thought that too, but the blue thread is everywhere that the white thread is. There is three rows of blue stitching in some places, quite evenly spaced all around. Hmmm.....Head scratcher.

oh and, yes, correct. no labels. Just the nammee M label which, by appearance looks very old and is what caught my eye in the first place. I think it fooled the salvation army, too as they had priced it at 6.99 which is high for them on an item like this. Luckily it was 1/2 off day. It's still a pretty little blouse. I'll wear it, lol...
