This Tunic Has Me Scratching My Head For Dating

I guess the best term for this beaded top is a tunic. It's vintage, but for the life of me I can't place it. This style never seems to change much no matter when it's made. Based on the tag I'd like to take a stab at late 60's to early 70's but I could be WAAAAAY off base.
It has a small strap and snap on the inside that I've seen on other 60's stuff that I believe is designed to snap around a bra strap?
Anyone have any better ideas that are based on more than just a hunch?
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, it has a steel zipper.

Thank you all very much for being here and for helping me learn this stuff. It's my goal to educate myself in regard to the areas of vintage I'm lacking knowledge in.

I'll start, and someone better at it can help more!

The tunic looks to me like ca. 1966-67, a sort of Maharina-chic style. It looks like a silk and wool blend, and I suppose it would be worn with straight pants.

Oh God, Mary Jane, I was there! I remember loving lots of the clothes I saw, and even taking pictures of outfits!

I was tempted to use Sgt. Pepper, Beatles references, but I know I can't, KWS and all.
Thanks to all of you for your input. I hope I can be as helpful one day soon.
And I should have know someone named Lovely Rita would mention Beatles! LOL

The 'small strap and snap' is to hold the item on the hanger, without it drooping.

Thank you, that's something new I learned today.
I appreciate the information.
