Tile Prints - commentary and egs

I rarely see this kind of thing identified as 'Tile Print', yet the advertising blurbs I've found on them from the 60s evoke a really nice wider picture of the kind of resort context to place them in.

Find more on the 'tile print' inspiration, and some examples I've found which are available now at:

A great read as usual Lin! I'd never actually thought of the term 'tile print' before (which is daft as I even occasionally collect encaustic tiles.. what don't I collect)

And now off to look at toast catalogue..

I know, it's not the term that would have occurred to me either, as when I see examples, they're described as 'scarf', 'ethnic', 'oriental' or exotic or similar.

But according to Mademoiselle in 1963, that's how Concord were marketing their own fabric, and 'Tiles, this summer, are also on view on sweatshirts.'

Well I never!
