The Silver Sage, Tim Gunn was on Rachel Ray today, working his magic with some makeovers.

He said that the future of Project Runway is a bit uncertain, as Lifetime and Bravo are fighting over the rights to it. It sounded like they may have already produced some of the next season, or have at least culled the contestants down, as he was concerned for those who deserve to be seen, and are caught in the midst of all the legal hubbub.

He's so nice!
 
The PR finalists showed during fashion NY week, but their names were not announced in order to keep the show under wraps. Seems like they've already got the whole season but are just looking for the legal shenanigans to be over.
 
Yup, it was mentioned in an article I read that the next Project Runway is in the can - they have a winner picked and everything is ready to roll but the legal battle may kill it, which means the winner won't get any of the prize money. There is a stipulation in the contract that the series has to air completely in order for the prize to be paid out.
 
Oh, dang, that would suck so bad! I hadn't picked up that the whole show was done filming. Poor things. So much work for nuthin'!?
 
The three finalist's collections are viewable on project rungay. I haven't looked, because I want to see it fresh at the end of the season, assuming I ever get to see it.
