Tiny Purse....I need help!

Not a child's bag - the strap
made short as possible still has a 21" drop.

The purse looks like it is woven ivory
silk thread with black and it has leather
trim. The inside is lined with green and
red small paisley print cotton.

What do I call it? Pillbox? And, why would this be so small when it is not an evening bag?

The other measurements I have on another pic. This is 3.75" tall and 5" wide.

Any info would be much appreciated - especially what to call this.
